The Roundtable of Inner Characters
a workshop with
Nadine Kreisberger & Laura Inserra
A playful exploration and a practical method to explore,
decipher, and develop the different facets of 'who' you are and a life well-lived.
Have you ever felt confused and conflicted about a person or a situation? Have you ever felt some strong instinct only to be torn by immediate second guessing? Have you ever been self destructive and helpless to stop it? Have you ever teared up or been overwhelmed with anger or impatience in ways you couldn't explain? Have you ever felt uncertain about directions your life should take?
One way to understand this mix of feelings and contradictions is to look inside what we generically call “I”, or the self, and recognize it as a collection of characters. Each one of them displays different skills, needs, fears, limitations, roles, and desires. Nadine Kreisberger calls it the ‘The Roundtable of Inner Characters’. Having worked as a counselor and journalist on three continents, she found the limitations of simply using the word “I” in expressing one’s thoughts and feelings. She saw the need to understand much more in depth “who” in the person is thinking, or feeling. It was clear to her that each one of us is made of many different facets and personalities, and yet we are mostly unaware of who those are and what truly drives or distinguishes them.
Those characters are archetypal, meaning one can find similar blueprints in each person. A few examples? The Wise One with the wisdom to guide us through a life well lived; the Doer, the Warrior, the Lover, the Parent, the Critic; and a few inner Children including: the “good kid”, "the rebel" and "the pure, soulful child”.
This approach turned out to be a powerful tool to increase self-awareness and a reliable compass to better navigate life and relationships. So after years of using it solely in her one-on-one work, Nadine decided to share it with a larger audience through group workshops.
In those sessions, in collaboration with sound therapist Laura Inserra, Nadine takes us on a journey towards self-discovery. We learn who are those internalized characters, how they may influence, guide, or impede us. We also learn who is sitting or missing at our own Roundtable, how to work with each character and explore their rich personality while engaging with them through real-life examples. As insights emerge and inner doors open, we also acquire practical tools to communicate with loved ones and the world at large.
Laura’s music provides a powerful tool to harmonize the group and help each individual’s discovery through what she calls Inner Landscapes Journeys. Using sacred instruments, rhythms, and melodies, she creates a musical environment to facilitate and nurture personal transformation and self awareness. Her music allows us to connect to feelings and realizations which sheer intellect could not reach. The combination of verbal and non verbal tools helps us integrate the shared knowledge in deeper, richer, and more comprehensive ways.
This workshop is designed for individual and group sessions.

Nadine Kreisberger
Nadine Kreisberger’s work is about accompanying people on their journey to understand who they are and becoming it. In those “joint journeys” (a term she prefers to coaching or therapy), she brings her unique background in psychology, shamanism, business, politics, and the media. She combines various tools such as depth psychology and dreamwork, business coaching and leadership training, trauma relief (EMDR), and inter-generational dynamics. She works in both one-on-one and group settings, in the San Francisco Bay Area and around the world.
A citizen of the world, Nadine grew up in France; she created a classical music company in New York; she spent time near the lava flows on the Big Island of Hawaii; she was the right-hand of the leading female politician in Mongolia; she had a therapy practice and TV shows in New Delhi. Now based in the Bay Area, she created Neidan Inc. as an umbrella for all her activities -- counseling work, company retreats and media projects.
Neidan is the Chinese name for an ancient tradition known in the Western world as Alchemy – the process of a person or an entity finding their essence and manifesting it. It is the ‘red thread’ of Nadine's journey and of all the company’s activities.

Laura Inserra
Laura Inserra is a sound alchemist — multi instrumentalist, teacher, music therapist, composer, and producer. In the last decade, Laura Inserra has been focusing her work on the transformative and healing power of sound. Along with her musical and spiritual studies with teachers and shamans from ancient and modern schools of wisdom, Laura Inserra has developed a unique method for personal transformation and wellbeing - Resonant Healing.
Through sacred sounds, rhythms, and melodies of ancient and modern musical instruments, she harmonizes people’s mind and tunes their body by lead them on ‘Inner Landscapes Journeys’. She applies this methodology in one-on-one sessions, as well as in group settings, workshops, and company retreats in order to facilitate and nurture personal transformation and self awareness.
She uses this ‘vibration medicine’ in collaboration with psychologists, life-coaches, scientists, and shamans. In those individual or group sessions, the language-based work of her collaborators is powerfully enabled, complemented, and integrated by Laura’s non-verbal work.
